Far too few of us rely on or have faith in God giving us rather than others giving us after we have given. Far too many of us rely on something in return for what we have given rather than simply being grateful for what we have and to give it.

I’M SORRY (SO SORRY…)

I’ve apologized many times out of fear rather than sincerity.

For some people it’s easy to confuse pleading with demanding.

In AA we’re taught that a proper amends is making things right to the best of our ability. As Kenny L. used to say “In Alcoholics Anonymous, until you take the horses back (you’ve stolen), you’re just a sober horse thief!

There is often some confusion about which amends we should and shouldn’t make when working the 9th step in Alcoholics Anonymous. The best answer I’ve found is ‘”You make the amends you cannot stay sober without making”.

If you cannot make an amends for legitimate reasons, make it where and to whom you can. For example, if you owe a financial amends that you cannot make to the person owed -use that money to help another in need. Trust me, God will appreciate it infinitely!

Not making a non necessity available is not oppression-B

In some places certain spiritual principles are in higher demand than others. In some places there is a greater demand for spirituality than another’s.

Déjà vu-do you suppose we’re all having the same experience? II fought for many years that I was having…. That life was happening at me not for me.

THE POOR SIDE OF TOWN

Being poor is no excuse for not giving or being charitable.

Man is an opportunistic creature. And the truth is something that can neither be bought or sold. No big surprise the man giving away truth is not seen with any great Z great zeal of opportunity to those who deal in barder and trade and thievery and exploitation – they essentially see truth as a worthless commodity in their world. Now I truly begin to see the meaning behind “pearl’sbeforr swine”. It’s not simply that they fail to grasp the meaning. The value of the commodities beyond itself is beyond (or below)) theire interest level.

GOT TO BE REAL

Many people in this country are not real (down-to-earth). If they were, they would be open to more people in their surroundings -but they are not. They are what some call “cliquish”.

THE LOVE THAT SAVES

To understand God and God’s Son, one must first understand God, and God’s Sons’, supreme mission in life; which is – to love, and to save. If God’s got to give you a million dollars to save a soul – He will. If God’s got to take a million dollars away from you to save a soul – He will. If Hes’ got to take the life of a baby (flesh and bone only) to save a soul – He will. If God’s got to save the life of a baby… and so on and so forth.

•Title from the song of the same name by Jesus Culture (2017).

WHAT HAVE YOU (OR I) GOT TO LOSE 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

“I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn’t, than live as if there isn’t and to die to find out that there is.” ~Albert Camus~

Herod: “Bring that Baptist out, I want to talk to him”

Herodias: “Is this creature your prisoner, or are you his?”

Herod: “How do you find your lodgings, Baptist?”

-[John The Baptist]: “Lonely, If the Lord weren’t with me.”

Herod: “You’re not alone then, in your cell?”

-[John The Baptist]: “No. God comforts me. He sustains me.”

Herod: “- You talk like a fool.”

-[John The Baptist]: “- And I pray for your soul.”

Herod: “- Forget my soul.”

-[John The Baptist]: “- Not till you remember it. Go to your knees. Ask God to forgive your sins. Send back your brother’s wife.”

Herod: “-Now. (sword clanks).

-[John The Baptist]: ” Kill me, Herod. That you can do. Kill me,so I can live.”

Herod: “Before you leave us, Baptist, it grieves me to ask what you mean by that.”

-[John The Baptist]: “- My body’s worth nothing. You can do what you like with it. But my soul is eternal, and you can’t touch it.”*

Herod: “What do you know about a man named Jesus from Nazareth?”

-[John The Baptist]: “-He’s the one.”

Herod: “-The one what?”

-[John The Baptist]: “Jesus is gathering to himself the souls of men, as a shepherd gathers in his flock.”**

*Now the deal is this -Somebody’s got it all wrong here. Either the people in The Bible, or the people who think the bible is largely a fairy tale. There’s just one thing that sticks in my crawl 🤔 Many of the people in The Bible were willing to die for their beliefs -they were so convinced of what Jesus is… WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO DIE FOR WHAT YOU DON’T BELIEVE (risk death based upon what you don’t believe to be true -are you that certain?).
