STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU

God gives us just enough – to do otherwise offsets the balance between the most important relationship(s) of all. You see, man is capable not only of excess but of using anything at all in order that he may feel more, or feel less… God however, wants us right smack-dab where He has determined, since time-immortal, WE BELONG! Man of course, has always had his own ideas -different perceptions of exactly where it is, at any given moment, that he belongs!

FOR THE FUN OF IT ALL

How much of your attraction to someone is founded on the joy, happiness; freedom from care, boredom, and worry they bring you? I have often asked people what they look for in a relationship. In every case they give a list of things they want – rather than a list of things they want to give. Relationships are more about giving than they are about receiving (or taking) – It’s The Secret! So many people in our world have it all wrong – which is why their relationships fail to thrive.

IN THE SAME SHOES

People for example who are thin and trim trim don’t give much thought to being overweight. People who can eat as much as they like and stay relatively trim don’t seem to worry much about dieting (nor do they seem particularly concerned about others that do – a few hecklers however, here-and-there. They can’t relate to the many people out there who suffer from…. At least not until they find themselves “in the same shoes”.

See the three “muchs'” stacked on each other?

SOMETHINGS GOTTA GIVE

The American dream used to consist of:

“All for 1 and 1 for all!”

Now it consists of:

“All for one and none for all!”

I don’t remember that beautiful little house my grandparents lived in on each lived in on Eastwood drive-in San Francisco. They could afford a beautiful house it’s a beautiful house and a quality lifestyle on an ordinary income. These days however, both parents have to work just to have a decent life living out of an apartment! And don’t give me any of that shit about inflation! The bottom line is that the number of people in this country and on this planet eager to get more than their fair share is ever increasing!

YESTERDAY, WHEN I WAS YOUNG

When I was young and out there trying to get mine…. I have no time for anyone. And the busier I got, trying to get busy with my own life, the less interested I became in thought of others.

Now that my life is much simpler; Now that the fear of being alone and of being “a nobody” in the eyes of the world have greatly dissipated; I welcome, even enjoy the opportunity to be of service to others. Do you see what was interfering with that?

IN THE EYES OF GOD NO MAN IS CRIPPLED – EXCEPT IN HIS SOUL

Jesus: “Our God is a God of salvation. Not of revenge. Only through Faith is their salvation. And only through love is their hope. Knock and it shall be opened to you. Ask, and it shall be given to you. Have faith, and you shall be made well. Believe, and you shall live forever. Walk with the glory of God in your heart.”

Cripple: “Why do you speak of walking – to us who are crippled?

Jesus: “- in the eyes of God, no man is crippled – except in his soul.”

Cripple: “It’s simple for you to say. I cannot walk.”

Jesus: “- Rise, and you shall walk.”

Cripple: “- Are you mocking me? I tell you, I cannot walk.”

Jesus: “- You have not tried… because your Faith is weaker than your legs.”

Cripple: “I worship God, and my Faith is strong.”

Jesus: “- Then rise – and walk.”

Cripple: (crippled man shuffling) “Look I’m walking. Look at me, I’m walking. You. You’re the Jesus of Nazareth. You have made me walk.”

Jesus: “- No. It is your Faith that has made you well. There are many who cannot walk. There are many more who can, but will not.”

SINS OF THE FATHER(S)

One of my father’s favorite scenes was “Be a man!”

As I look back on my relationship with my father… His role in our lives.. * 🤷‍♂️😒

*Encountering in the nineties or eighties…. We’re taught that the people around us who failed us did the best they can. I truly believe this with regard to my mother. But with regard to my father and others… When you see them capable of something elsewhere, that they seem incapable or unwilling of with you… It’s a little harder to swallow! My dad appeared very much a participant In the life of his partner -that is, when he wasn’t. It was extremely rare, when I saw that side of my father with me.
