IT’S EASIER TO ASK FORGIVENESS…

All is permitted but not all is beneficial. For some, life is one big candy store.

For some people the worst thing in the world is too much freedom.

Freedom is more about responsibility than it is about free will. Freedom requires the greatest amount of restraint and self -discipline in the absence of such things as tyranny and oppression! And of course, some people have it in them, and some people don’t.

HOW COME

How is it that* some people get paid far too much; and others far too little? How is it that a man works till his hands bleed for a few dollars; while another never breaks a sweat and makes $10,000 in a day?

“Certain things continue to exist in the world -but only ß the expense of certain people or other groups. Meanwhile, they are either of no concern to other groups or, they are in fact advantageous on one way or another. Now, certain problems I guess I should say, continue to exist year after year because people who have the power to resolve such issue either don’t care, or are themselves encouraging their existence. When something goes wrong on the rich part of ty own -all hell breaks loose in an attempt to address the issue. But on the poor side of town? Where the mayor and the DA don’t live????

Why are blacks killing blacks? Mexicans killing Mexicans? Where is this hate coming from -being propagated or encouraged. A white man calls a black man a nigger and they’re all over it! A white man (cop) kills a black man they’re all over it! But a black man calls a black man… a black man kills a black man nothin’!

We talk about bias, or prejudice… what about personality bias, or prejudice, or personality-ism? That is more widespread than any other kind of bias, prejudice, or ism I’m aware of!

Political correctness… man picks and chooses selectively, what issues he feels the weight of the system should be thrown at! The weight of public opinion… B…. S….*

*Robert Kennedy: “Some men see things as they are, and say why. I dream of things that never were, and say why not.”

* My Uncle Steve used to call me “how come”, because I would always ask “how come”?

MAN-THE HUNTER

Ever since man stopped hunting deer and rabbit, he has been hunting his fellow man. Every where I turn man is trying to get my money! In my own home, on the phone, on the TV man figures out a way to turn it into something in it for him – every time! When someone comes up with an idea that takes off -man wants in on it, to take it over… or shut it down. Ebay, for example, started out this nice little… between regular people. Now it’s turned into a fricken mega-business!!!

LET THE MUSIC PLAY

Music, has always had a strong correlational relationship (barometer) to the culture, and the times. In the 60s you heard? 70s? 80s? 90s? 00s? 10s? 20s? How has the music differed from decade to decade? Or generation to generation? What is the music itself saying? What role have we played in the changes in music representative of the times? Has the music become deeper or shallower? Has it become more harmonious or more angry?

BLUE COLLAR MAN

If you would lie to save your minimum wage Jack in the Box job -what do you think some white collar worker would do to save millions?

•Title taken from Styx song of same name from the album “Pieces of Eight” (1978), Tommy Shaw (writer).

WHO KNOWS

God knows what each of us needs and deserves. The problem is most of us want the same thing! Under the circumstances, it can’t work that way! Most people think they’re deserving of period period you you go into any prison and lineup a 1000 inmates and ask them what they think of themselves and most will tell you they’re pretty good people. By what standard? There are a lot of people who are very successful in the world and have never had any legal issues -and they are far from…

What happens when you take a below average intelligence individual and bring them up with lots and lots of intellectual stimulation?? What happens when you take in above average love average intelligence individual and bring them up with very little intellectual stimulation?

Einstein says that true intelligence lies in creativity -not in knowledge. What’s so brainy about processing information that’s already been discovered?

One day it came to me that if we took somebody else’s invention and moved it to another part of the world… It would be as if we invented it right? Except for the fact that we didn’t! And some people don’t seem to be too bothered about that fact.

…CONSTANT THOUGHT OF OTHERS

If it’s not a spiritual principle get rid of it.

Some people are harder on themselves and considered of others Whit’s literate of others while some people are harder on others and considered of themselves

In order for our lives to get better -WE HAVE TO GET BETTER!

Alcoholics Anonymous has taught me to seek the best possible relationships with all peoples (and it’s something I continually struggle with).
