I have this odd thought -Somebody severely brutalizes an innocent or helpless individual, then gets put in a cell, fed 3-squares, goes to court, then gets sent to another cell, fed 3-squares… seems odd to me (in an unChristian-like sort of way). Thought: 🤔 “No wonder we have so much (violent) crime in this country”.*(**)

*I was told in treatment a long time ago that if an alcoholic suffered a hangover immediately after taking a drink he’d never drink again 🤔

**I’m not naive enough to believe, as some folks do, that all violent offenders are solely, or even primarily (in all cases?) responsible for their (own) actions. There is enough blame to go around for everyone! Besides, if you’re going to use society itself as a baseline -GOOD LUCK THERE BROTHER! 😏

•THERE’S JUST TOO MANY VARIABLES ON BOTH SIDES (regarding society and the individuals themselves).

Sidenote: Several years ago I decided to see how long it would take me to do 10,000 writings. It took approximately 2 years, three and a half to four months. 14 a day?

*During times of great fear, I notice two things:

•I get a song in my head I’m not particularly fond of, and

•It can play in my head, sometimes for a couple of days -I find this sort of pattern especially stressfull**

**They say a man can’t hold 2 thoughts in his head at the same time… There have been times where I can think about something at the same time music is going on in the background in my head and… do something out in the real world -albeit something fairly simple of course. When things are really bad I wake up with a song already playing – as if it’s been going in my sleep.

During my visit to Wheeling, West Virginia I noticed something very interesting. They had an abundance of water and foliage and and pretty decent weather for a Winter back East. I also noticed the people were very friendly and there were a lot of families about -Children with mothers and fathers who seemed very close. When I would come back home to the state I reside in -a state riddled with crime, poverty, drought, increasing temperatures… The people here are not particularly friendly, and the family unit is broken… I may have a few things confused here but it just seemed to me, as in the Bible – The people who were trying to live by God’s rule were blessed and the people who were not -were not. I may not know wheeling West Virginia all that well but I know the town where I live in pretty well. Domestic violence, incest, crime, infidelity…. blatant disrespect for one another – I don’t know how many times I’ve been flipped off or cut off on the road… Anyways, I guess you can draw your own conclusions.* 🤷‍♂️

*Like I always say-you can argue a man’s opinions but you can’t argue his experiences!

Perhaps one of the greatest truths in our known universe -and beyond is that everything has a lifeline! Good and evil. Bad and good… Cancer…

There’s 2 ways to kill something -if it can be killed at all:

•Cut it off from its’ source

•Significantly counter, or overwhelm its’ source (or it).

The thing about people working in the government on some (mass) sort of conspiracy, is that these people have family members that are being exploited.

You know a lot of things can be learned by observing nature – It’s just a shame that some people do so to the detriment of mankind, to the detriment of their fellow man. Animals in the animal kingdom who tend to hunt in packs or even alone try to separate the weak ones from the herd. It’s no different among human beings. When your neighbor gets screwed and you stand aside thinking it’s none of your business… This kind of scenario happens often enough… Well let’s just say that without even knowing it-the whole damn herd is at risk!*

*Maybe, just maybe… Darwin didn’t have it exactly right -but the end-result may very well be the same! 😪

It’s near impossible to get angry when you don’t have anger (inside of you).

Now imagine our armed forces filled with men who have no anger. Now imagine choosing from the entire population of the United States that is free from anger -do you suppose there is anyone who would have a problem with this scenario?

While I was in the restroom writing up “what’s wrong with this picture”, a couple of other thoughts came to mind that left me almost as quickly as they came. For the life of being I couldn’t remember what they were -I prayed to God to help me remember. That was right around 40 or 45 minutes ago. The 1st one just came to me “gentle”, while writing this blog (co)incidentally!*

So anyways, the thought that came to mind that had slipped my mind goes like this: Situations, or circumstances which call for gentleness are far more prevalent than we human beings have a tendency to recognize-or be inclined towards.

** And by the way, there are no such thing as co-incidences only God-incidences!
