In God’s service, people of faith have been able to go to places never heard of, never dreamed of, and come out unscathed:

•Alcoholics going into war and not drinking;

•The Blessed Mother Theresa who worked with lepers.

…and we are terrified of Covid! Go to great lengths to protect yourself -BUT GO TO EVEN GREATER LENGTHS TO PROTECT YOUR FAITH!

OUT OF HARM’S WAY

To man’s way of 🤔, It is better to be a 1000 miles away from harm’s way than to be shielded. To God’s way of 🤔, It’s better to be shielded (and) in the midst of harm’s way!

Which idea holds more weight (sway):

•One lived upon for 2000+ years;

•Or one contrived last week?

HEAVY-BAG

Is it possible to achieve the same result or better without using a heavy-bag? By using the muscles, telling the muscles… while going thru the same motion? OF COURSE IT IS!

Our bank was advertising as low as 1.9% interest rates on loans -of course the as low was small-case, unbolded 😏. So I go in to apply for a loan and they tell me it’s gonna be gonna be 9.3% -which is still lower than everybody else. When I walked out of there I was unhappy, because I didn’t feel they had been forthright in their advertising methods. I also thought to myself, out of all the people coming in to apply for alone how many people got 1.9% -and that’s the way it’s done! Hell I didn’t even need a loan I just wanted to take advantage of the low interest rate. I’m sure I’m not aloan either. People come flocking in, they’re not gonna get a low interest rate like that 9 out of 10 times – They come in any ways, get approved for a higher rate, a lot of people these days don’t know how to say no to an opportunity for money… And that’s how they get you. This borderlines on exploitation of Americans -not assisting them entirely with making better lives for themselves.

It’s easy to believe man has eradicated life’s problems -for some more than others so. We live in a society where man makes both his living (making things easier for others) and a life’s work of making things easier for himself. But we forget:

•While man is perhaps busy making a living making life easier for others; at the end of the day, and often at the expense of his fellow man, he will attempt to make life even easier for himself (which results in more struggle for his fellow-man);

•The elements, and environment thus far, continue to pose their share of challenges;

•By virtue of simply living in proximity of one another, we are continually challenged;

•God -once man was expelled from “The Garden”… a life of servitude and strife awaited him -which is why Cherubim were placed to guard against our returning:

-this was our own undoing

-there can be no merit [without]-> free-will to conquer [without]-> struggle

So, in one way or another ‐MAN’S EFFORTS TO RECLAIM/RECREATE PARADISE HERE ON EARTH WILL FAIL!!!! <- Many human-beings knowingly, or unknowingly strive to (re)create paradise here on Earth [if there was never a “GARDEN OF EDEN” then why do we human-beings work so hard to get back to it -if only a shadow of it here outside it’s gates?].

The truth existed inside “The Garden of Eden” and it exists outside! I follows us wherever we may roam. Man didn’t like certain truths when he was in… and he certainly doesn’t now that he is outside…

What’s the difference between “The Truth” and “A Fact”? Facts change!

Sidenote: The more money a man makes -the more a woman tends to put up with until…

Some women are like cats (some men too 😆) -they go with who feeds them. I brought some enchiladas to a woman working at Lowe’s one year; she was assisting myself and my aunt and uncle with some flooring. She made the comment, “I’m like a cat, I go with whoever feeds me”. Meow 🐈 You see men on the streets with a dog by their side -food or no food!

Some people refuse to dirty themselves, and thus pass up an opportunity to make the world a bit better for someone/everyone. Some people will absolutely pass up an opportunity if it poses any risk to their own property or themselves -which is why I have such a deep, deep respect and admiration for people that do!

I remember when I would pull off the road to toss a 4×4 or a large rock off to the side 🤔 -maybe I should start doing that again:

Recently, I got to make the acquaintance of a young lady new to Alcoholic’s Anonymous – Like most Alcoholics who rarely sober up under ideal conditions 🤔… She had her share of issues she was sorting out -wreckage of the past is what we like to call it. She mentioned numerous times that she had prayed to God for guidance and wisdom, and that she had not received an answer (no answer is an answer).

Many times we our selves know the answer(s), we just don’t like it(them)! So we move on, continuing to search for “The right one”, which of course 🤔 has already been and gone. We become so convinced “we have yet to find or been given an answer” that we:

•Blame God/others

•Settle for…

•Substitute…

•Overcompensate/undercompensate

•Give up/in…

•Rebel

•Get angry

•Continue wandering; searching aimlessly; hopelessly

NO ANSWER IS AN ANSWER

God knows us better than we know our selves. He knows for example:

•It’s pointless to give you an answer, when you’ve never listened to Him before (nor intend to in this particular case;

•That you/we already have the answer(s); now it’s up to you/us to apply the strength, courage, wisdom, virtue which lay dormant within us -AND DO THE RIGHT THING!

•And sometimes no answer means -DO NOTHING (for the moment -and trust* in my will).

God would NEVER HARM US. Therefore:

1. God will ALWAYS do for us -what we CANNOT do for our selves;

2. God will NEVER do for us -what we CAN do for our selves. To do so would interfere with our becoming more God-like. More Christ-like.

*When we meet a person for the first time:

•We don’t know them, or what to expect.

•We throw in our own assumptions about them good or bad.

•As we get to know them better, those assumptions get replaced with facts -via experience.

•We either learn to trust or mistrust through this process -to gain or lose trust.

•This is what it is like for an Alcoholic when he or she is faced with the prospect of a trusting in a relationship with God in order for him or her to stay sober. WE LEARN TO TRUST (OR NOT) BY TRUSTING. God not only understands, He really doesn’t mind the fact that MOST OF US are tied to a process which involves time, and experience before we CAN AND WILL TRUST! God’s no dummy!

two kinds of people in the 🌎:

1. The one’s who TRUST -until WE give them a reason not to;

2. The one’s who DON’T TRUST -until WE give them a reason to.

2 things:

1. Never forget where you came from;

2. Wherever you go in life -NEVER, EVER FORGET WHAT GOT YOU THERE (good or bad!)!

Many-an-Alcoholic, and many people who came out of “The Great-Depression” share one common mistake:

When life got better they either stopped doing what got them their (in the case of the Alcoholic) or, they failed to “Pass It On” (<-interesting turn-of-phrase for non-alcoholics) to their children. In the case of those coming out of the tremendous struggle during “The Great-Depression”, they failed to pass-on to their children… when they said, “My children are not going to grow up, and go thru what my generation went thru” they essentially took away the struggles -> that build the type of character -> this great country was founded upon! And you end up with what we see now:

•Grown adults -twenty and thirty-somethings living at home with their parents (whatever happened to wanting to get out of the house, so you can have your own freedom, and your own privacy, make a family of your own);

•They want to start at the top (in many, but not in all cases), as opposed to the bottom -and work their way up (no longer willing to pay their dues).

Well 🤔, I’ll just say this, for those of you who are non-believers, If there really is no such thing as a God, and therefore no such thing as a 👹 then that means -all we’re doing to this 🌍, all we’re doing to each other -WE’RE DOING IT ALL ON OUR OWN COMPLETELY VOLUNTARILY. AND THAT IN ITSELF IS MORE FRIGHTENING, AND MORE SHAMEFUL, THAN ANY 👹 DREAMED UP IN THE BIBLE -FOR WHATEVER REASON 🙄 YOU WANT TO IMAGINE!
