What are the signs which would allow us, which would have allowed the Israelites to distinguish false messiahs from the true Messiah?

Many christians believe that GOD wants them to live a life of fruitfulness materially. In many cases this is true but in most it is not. Because most christians cannot live a life of fruitfulness it’s brutefulness without having their devotion and their faith compromised. Without misusing it in one form or another.
