Sometimes the things we lose or suffer early in life which make it possible to move towards GOD also stand in the way of our taking those final steps. While it may be fate pointing us in HIS direction and spurring us to venture ever closer, IT IS OUR WILL AND OUR FAITH WHICH MUST CARRY US THOSE FINAL FEW STEPS, STEPS MARRED OR HAMPERED BY THOSE LOSSES, THOSE SUFFERINGS IN THE FORM OF BLAME, RESENTMENT, EGO, VICTIMIZATION, INJUSTICE.

Most people need things to be a certain way:

1) Some of it is in order to make sense of things;

2) Some of it selfish in nature.

Driving on the right side of the road in America versus the left side of the road in Europe is symbolic of the approach we took in distinguishing ourselves. Not the best approach.
