I stopped making amends on a regular basis for 2 reasons:

– It got to the point where a lot of people were looking at me and wondering undering just what I was making amends for. Apparently they either lacked the intuition to recognize what I was apologizing for apologizing for… or, they were so busy wrapped up in their own lives…. The other reason;

-Where there was an obvious reason…. People simply refused to make amends to me 🤷‍♂️ It became so lopsided it was ridiculous! In the 13 years I’ve known Ana – She made more amends to me than all the people I’ve known in my 31 and a 1/2 years sober combined.

I think the more time we have sober in a 12 step recovery program the more (some) people become sane -And in a world which appears to be coming more insane everyday! I think that’s why a lot of people with a lot of time in Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous eventually commit suicide.*

*Truth be told-in a lot of ways sobriety has not turned out to be at all what I thought it would be. Principally with regard to human behavior.
