I don’t share for me in meetings -I share for the people who are around me in the meeting. Especially people who are new. This may go against conventional AA but that’s how I roll as Lennelle would say.

I’ve heard a lot of people in meeting say they make amends for themselves only-to stay sober. I guess that’s the way it used to be for me. But these days I do it for 2 reasons instead of one:

1. Stay sober

2. Because Alcoholics Anonymous has given me back some of my humanity. I like the idea of knowing that making an amends helps make people feel better and believe the world isn’t all bad.*

*I like it also when people trust me for example, and I come through for them even though some people are not unwilling to do so (trust) 😏

One man’s simplicity is another man’s complication (complicity would fit in there perfectly (rhyme) -but it’s the wrong definition I’m looking for 🤔 (I also had to look it up 😄). In Alcoholics Anonymous we have a saying “keep it simple”. But just because something seems complicated to one (the listener) -doesn’t mean it’s complicated to another (the speaker).

YIPPEE -the birds are starting to fly South!!!!👏
