More than just a small percentage of humanity have deep regrets regarding their actions. You should not feel alone, you should not feel special in that regard. But regret, and remorse may set you apart from some.
Nowhere in the book of Alcoholics Anonymous does it specify anything in our past which can borrow us from being a member. God said that not man!
There are 2 kinds of people in the world:
1) Those who have faults and care little or nothing of doing something about them (who can’t or won’t admit them);
2) Those who have faults and do (and can admit them).
Which is a better prospective partner:
1) The one who has few faults and is willing to do little about his or her remaining faults;
2) The one who has many faults and is willing to (eventually) address them all?
Who do we have a tendency to pick? #1 of course!
