And perhaps my thirties I was very surprised to find that a lot of people my own age knew very little about very little about how they felt about certain things. Important things – tith little or no idea whatsoever. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

One of the things that made me fall in love with Alcoholics Anonymous was a reading from the book “Pass It On” written by Bill Wilson. In one of the chapters, Lois Wilson, Bill’s wife, shares some of her family upbringing. She speaks of how she was taught from a very young age that when you have a squabble -or a disagreement with those you love, You never let the sun go down without having made some sort of peace between you. I suppose a lot of these sorts of things were missing in my childhood.

You peer into a crowd of people and you wonder 🤔, just how many people in that crowd have committed serious offenses against people they know, people they love. And then, just how many of those offenses have gone unclaimed by the perpetrator – because, you see, I DO NOT believe a soul ever finds complete until it has made peace!

A lot of things I still get blindsided by that I should have seen coming a long time ago -and still don’t. Like my blow up with Ana the other night -should have seen what instigated it before I even got “the call”.

Money does a lot of things -including holding people back. Including placing a veil over certain realities.

Egotistical people, in general, do not tend to speak about the ego.

Alot of people in this town take one look at me and they think i think I’m better than them – So before I even open my mouth what do you think there attitude is when we come face-to-face? Cold, haughty… How do I know this?

There are people you cannot turn no matter how kind and loving and why you’re swaying. But there are those you can turn away who would otherwise who would otherwise turn to God had you been better in your….. We must never turn away an opportunity… and since God is the last word on all said opportunities -we must in all cases attempt to…

Doing the opposite of what is wrong will only take you so far. At some point in our lives we must learn the true meaning of what it is to be good -and then act accordingly. Many of the laws and principles of this country were founded on many of the negative experiences our Founding-Fathers had back in “Jolly-Old”. But that will only take us so far.

In Alcoholics Anonymous, in recovery for example -For my 1st few years I lived by the philosophy of “not dying -rather than living.” “Not screwing up -rather than being a positive, useful presents to those around me”.

I know of no better way to convince people a person has changed then to give a lot and accept very little.

Love never goes to waste; and Love is never a waste of time -even if it’s one sided.

A lot of people can’t see what’s underneath. -And a lot of people don’t want to see what’s underneath
