On those days when you don’t feel like going to the gym, tell yourself you’re gonna go for 10 minutes…. By the time you get there and break a sweat 9 times out of 10 you’ll be in the mood. A lot of times not being in the mood is the biggest it’s the biggest obstacle. If you can talk yourself into the move…. Then you can take it from there! You see being in the mood and doing the work are a two- part process.

In Alcoholic Aynonymous spiritual growth is similar to that of working at working out in the gym. Work, rest, eat. The 1st day is always the hardest right? Mark and you’re surrounded by people who by people who make you feel even more inept and out of shape. In Alcoholics Anonymous we all arrive as spiritual weaklings! If you can’t cut it in the rooms of alcohol it’s anonymous where there’s no booze no booze and the people understand your situation more than anyone else…. The rooms are the gym! It’s a place where we get to practice. Make mistakes. In the television program “Rawhide” from the fifties -Clint Eastwood once stated that he knew he had that job secured-so he could experiment with different things because he knew there would always be tomorrow, and tomorrow is another day. Alcoholics Anonymous is kind of like that.

How is a person supposed to get a grip on reality when human beings portray so many varied examples?
