Were these documents made official, and written into the fabric of those truths we hold dearly? What is this nonsense about removing the 10 commandments from courthouses dating back to the early 1800s when the people who knew the people who established the laws of this great land had NO ISSUE -or were of the understanding that…! People a couple of 100 years later are going to presume to know more than the people who knew the people who knew the people [direct descendents] who founded and fought for the independence of this great country? People who likely have some other agenda?

And how exactly did we go from the preamble to slavery*?

0716212245: Just because we have an army behind us and a few nukes in the ground, doesn’t mean we should go all out of shape or drop our guard! What if civilization as we know it ceased to exist? Would you be prepared to survive the elements, [other] desperate human beings…?

A strong America (for example) is not first and foremost founded upon it’s army -but on it’s people: their unity (as a whole); strength (individually); preparedness (for anything), CHARACTER!

So you can pass, get that good grade, and get a good job, or get your license (renewed) – to get whatever is at the other end of a passing versus failing grade!!! Well, news flash – we all might want to start looking at life as more of a test – because what’s at the other end of a passing or failing grade in life could be prrrrrrretty significant – and with life you just never know!*

*How often do we carry the attitude that we need not worry about what’s around the next corner of life, of life’s tests? HOW ARROGANT, OR STUPID IS THAT? I’VE LIVED MOST, IF NOT ALL OF MY LIFE THIS WAY. And at the same time I’ve never lived with the burden of worrying about the latter years of my life -so many people seem to be consumed with [the “R” word].

0716212211: I was once told in a seminar (T.M.I.Y That Man is You – Christian…) that satan claimed man is so easy to lead astray, to trick. Sounds like a challenge to me!

0716212206: If God is such a punishing, merciless God, then why are there so many very bad people running around unpunished?* The fact of the matter is….

*People get so upset at God when things go bad for (good people) themselves or people they care about. The first point is this: “how do you know they’re good”? My second point is this: doing bad is one thing; not having any remorse is something entirely different. So, often times we never really know (for sure) what’s going on with people we presume are good. And as far as people who are bad, we never really know for sure their motivations, nor their reservations, or regrets, if any.

When I was early in recovery, my attitude was this: I wanted to do GOD’S job and I wanted HIM to do mine -cause mine was too boring and lacked power. The moral of this story – leave GOD’S job to GOD. HE has far greater intelligence(s) when it comes to knowing what people do when they’re not around us, and what is going on in places inside of them we cannot even begin to imagine.

Our spiritual welfare and our relationship with God are HIS first priority – At least that’s my report! But not so with many human beings. Being successful in terms of the outcomes rather than the effort is more the lay-of-the land – are how things work down here on planet earth. Many peoples attitude is one of “your best effort doesn’t put food on the table… or buy yachts”. That’s one of the things I love most about GOD -effort is everything, and outcomes are secondary! If you gave your best – YOU SUCCEEDED! SUCCEEDING IS ENTIRELY IN YOUR HANDS!

What we do and why we do it. These are the 2 things human beings struggle with most in life . I think at this stage of the game (in many cases), God would settle for us doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

0716212137: Are you familiar with the song “I’m Your Captain/Closer to Home”? Well you really should listen to it. It’s a very spiritual song. As an Alcoholic in recovery, I often feel it is a song about my own recovery, my own journey from the abyss back to life among the living. Recently, I read some of the background on Wikipedia and was completely moved by it (what I read made me go from loving it to falling in love with it). Check it out some time!

0716212327: The trick with people, with women, is you have to get them attached emotionally (many women have such a hope for that fairytale life* – and more than just a few men play on this). Some men will generally stick around until they get what they want and put up quite an effort in many instances. But this is not an emotional attachment (not a mature one anyways), it’s a physical one in many cases. Many men operate from a sense of desperation when it comes to sex. Many women on the other hand operate from a sense of aloofness. Now from a financial perspective… the roles are often reversed!

Many-a-woman figure men are a dime-a-dozen. While many-a-man figure (act as if) they’ll probably never get laid again (unless they really really try). Ever sit home with your car in the driveway and think nothing of going anywhere – that is until the cars in the shop for a week? Many women are of the frame-of-mind that the car is always in the driveway; while many men are of the frame-of-mind the car is always in the shop! 😆

*I’ve seen many-a-woman go after the same type of man over, and over, and over again refusing to change their MO. And of course the result is (almost) always the same. Women and men are in essence, cut from the same cloth – at best, just different ends. Oftentimes, men and women both get hurt in these situations because their motives are suspect 🤔. One’s intentions may be benign, but their motivations are self-serving. And this leaves us vulnerable to “the kill”.
