In the MMAI heard a coach say once that the training has to be much more intense than the fight itself. That way when they get in the ring…. They will not be taxed nearly as much as they were in training. They will not run out of gas… Some people in training take on multiple opponents at once. Alcoholics Anonymous is the same way in my opinion. Staying sober is the easy part -following a strict regiment of the program… That’s the hard part! If I do that -staying sober will follow as a byproduct. I have found this to be my experience anyways.
To make 20 pounds seem easier you gotta lift 30. To make 30 pounds seem easier you gotta lift 40. Always staying one step ahead is how you increase strength.
