I remembered something just before I went out the door to take some things to the trash bin.. Got caught up in something out in the parking lot with somebody pulling out in front of me.. It completely forgot about it by the time I got back inside. Started doing my reading and then it came to me… I’ve been.. In a blank sense of course-did I’ve been did I forget to write something download? Then I went to the penny and asked-tales. Did I get it written download-tales. So I sat on the couch just to catch my wind and cool off a little in front of the cooler. I started thinking to myself Was it about the people that the meeting… was it about…? God help me please to remember; please help me to remember. A minute later (more like half or less) -“Bernadette” came into my mind. Thank You Lord 🙏

So here’s the thought that originally came to mind

“The Spring is not for me”.

Which translates to -“THE WRITINGS ARE NOT FOR ME”. 😔

If the seventies are your thing, if the sixties are your thing, if the turn of the century is your thing, you can still go to places in the world that are similar to those times.

Daisy doesn’t care what part of town we live in or how big the house is, or would other dogs think of it 😁 All she seems to care about is that it’s comfy (right 🌡) , it’s dry, there’s food on the table morning and night, there’s a warm bed to sleep in, and I’m in it with her. 🤷‍♂️

Five-Guys

These days come when I get upset it’s usually because I have 5 other things eating at me besides the situation in front of me that gets the brunt of it. I think it’s been that way most of my life.

If you have a grievance over something, Air it out once maybe, twice and let it go.

I know families where a son or daughter will bring someone home if they really like and the parents will go on and on and on about their dissatisfaction with their choice. Give your opinion once, maybe twice, if it all, and then let acceptance kicking to gear. No matter how right you may be, in some instances other people simply have to learn for themselves – Seems to work for God anyways! He doesn’t drop down from the rafters every time there’s an issue.

There were a lot of things right about the seventies and a lot of things wrong..There are a lot of things right with today and a lot of things wrong. The only issue I have-it’s not the same things!

On what standard do you use!

Well how about the ultimate standard! Is there any other? Well how about the ultimate standard! Is there any other?

I have attempted many acts of character building throughout my sobriety-much of them with much great disappointment great disappointment. But only in so far as the people connected to it-God on the other hand was very pleased from what I gather.

Most people do not want shitty lives-not even alcohol experience alcoholics. So how is it that we end up there?? Well for one thing, just because we have a plan doesn’t mean that plan is grounded in reality. And what I mean by reality is that the actions we take are not necessarily connected to the outcomes we seek.

In the end hot, God is always right

An Alcoholics Anonymous ended up with the same higher power that I started with as a child. Poetic Justice? Poetry emotion?

Things always depreciate when left alone, uncared for.. Love includes we human beings physically, emotionally, I’m emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, spiritually calm associated… Deteriorate I believe is the word I was searching for moments amoments ago and then lost it and then it came back moments later-God

The human tendency, and a prime example is alcoholics and Alcoholics Anonymous.. When they start feeling better they stop doing what got them there it’s got them there-they stop doing what is necessary to keep them there. We were handed a real gem in the form of this country and people have been skating more and more through the years. As the old saying goes, if you’re coasting you’re going down hill. Becoming weaker and weaker with time period the formula is this, the weaker we become the more vulnerable bowl we’ve become too exploitation. As we speak the American society society is being increasingly exploited and dominated. Until there is nothing left.. That’s always the way it happens. Isn’t that how viruses function? Isn’t that how all parasites function?

I attended the University for many years and when I started out I wasn’t much older than a lot of these other students. They were very unwilling to reach out-the mvastmajority of the. As a matter of fact, by the time I left I had no friends to speak to speak of-pretty much were I started out 11 and a 1/2 years earlier.😒

For 20 years now I’ve been saying I guess the only way to meet people nowadays is thrill of friend. Trying to talk to somebody on the street or in the grocery store seems to be a thing of the past. My cousin Tony remarked some 20 or 25 years ago that women must be scared to death today from watching all that Oprah Winfrey and hearing women talking about all how nice he was at 1st and then he turned out to be… if that’s what this country is coming to If that’s what this wonderful country has come to then I guess it’s not so wonderful anymore😒

People drive by Kama walk by and look at Daisy and ignore me high from people in this country don’t have any regard for their fellow human being anymore🤷‍♂️

Raise your hand if you want a shitty life… I’ve never had anyone raise their hand yet-this is a question I used to ask at the treatment center I did groups with. And yet, so many of us end up there-how?

Fortunately, we human beings are highly adaptive.daptive. Unfortunately, we human beings are highly adaptive.

The ability to feel is perhaps the greatest privilege which sets us apart from so many other things in the universe and yet so many of us treated like a curse, treat ot with utter disregard – Something for our own personal…. Amusement?

I was thinking just now 2 things: 🤔

•I wish I could be back in California right now riding my bicycle calm riding my skateboard…. Enjoying a home cooked meal from my grandmother-but instead of sitting in my bed watching TV and being treated like a little king, Sitting at the dinner table with my grandmother and talking about how her and my day went. We never did that! The other thing I was thinking of;

THOSE DAYS ARE GONE FOREVER 😔

When you have so many things in life go against you… it’s hard to imagine that a apology or a penance is old. The key to Heaven!. The keys to the kingdom. I realize in this moment, I have failed to have a sense of remorse, or regret for*. I’m 57 years old now and… with very few exception – Have given very little thought to my life with my grandmother -and my part in it. My grandmother was a good woman! I’m sorry grandma! 😪

The more beautiful and appealing your partner is the less of your character will be demanded of you!

A lot of men want a gorgeous woman and a lot of women want a man with the nice car and a nice house… (and attractive as well). So what does that tell us? Both men and women have the propensity to be shallow. 🤷‍♂️

*Feelings are vital to a full and complete expiation (and God’s mercy and forgiveness) in this life!

When I was in the kitchen making breakfast for myself and Daisy I had 3 thoughts in succession but I was only able to recall two of them by the time I sat down to my phone to write them down. So here it came to me an hour-and-a-half later. THANK YOU LORD 🙏

God, unlike man, does not appear to be in any hurry to:

•Punish the wrong-doers of the world, nor…

•To apprehend them

Some thoughts as to why:

•They are (we are all) His children not some non entity.*

•Instead of forcing redemption on them -He wants it to come from within

•He already put consequences in the world

•He knows where to find you at all times and is “all-powerful” (and with respect to God being “all-powerful” -dealing (too harshly) with anything in the universe would be considered a mis-match/unfair advantage/bullying/abuse):

•Maybe He knows something about the supposed perpetrator(s) that we don’t 🤔 (Why do bad things happen to good people? -Maybe not all good people are so good after all. Why don’t bad things happen to bad people – Maybe they’re not too bad after all 🤷‍♂️);

•Man has a tendency to cut(bait) and run when his fellow man is in trouble -maybe he sees many of us as cowardice and pities us. Or maybe He still sees us as infants who don’t know any different loves us just as we are (just where we are);

•God wants us to stick together like the true family that we are. After all we all did start from some original source did we not? The only way to do that is in certain instances to prevent man a way to jump ship (and I think that time is coming);**

If we descended from apes… what is the difference in DNA between a man and an ape and a white man and a black man? For those still insisting a black man is inferior to a white man 🤷‍♂️

*When a person commits a crime against another -God hurts twice not once, like many of us.

**Marriage for example: It’s one of the few things where God insists that we remain dedicated for better or for worse -afterall, we ourselves did make the choice didn’t we?

I used to tell people up at the treatment center that you know that alcoholism is like a baby python you bring home. Over time it grows larger and larger -and in some instances…

I sometimes wondered 🤔 if it wasn’t my own inability (refusal) to understand others that was @ the root of the problem?

Rebellion is nothing new to Alcoholics Anonymous -and neither is blame. It can take a very long time for an Alcoholic to learn self accountability. It can take some human beings a very long time to learn self accountability.

There’s these 2 🦬 sitting up on top of a hill looking down on a herd of 🐄. The young 🐃 says to the old 🦬 ” Let’s run down there and do one of them (each of course 😄).” The old 🦬 turns to him and says, “Let’s just stroll down there son… 🤔 and do’em all”.

Which one’s out anger or Serenity? Two people get into an altercatiin -well one technically… 😏 Which one wins?

I told a man who at the time had 49 years of sobriety ” Practicing character building does not seem to be one of the top priorities of most Americans these days.” He chuckled mildly (cannot recall the real word I’m looking for at the moment 🤔), then said “No, it certainly doesn’t”.* Well maybe, just maybe -we ought do som’ bout dat 🤷‍♂️

*You see, back in the day, back in the wooly-wild -man did whatever he had to survive. In spite of all the comforts, in spite of all the shielding from mother nature (too much in my opinion), many-a-man and far too often I might add -has that same mentality. In most cases, we don’t have the excuse of death being right around the corner -so, we have no choice but to… And we don’t have the excuse of not having something called “The Holy Bible” these days.**

The traditions in Alcoholics Anonymous are a perfect example of how God’s thinking differs from our own.

Emotions, frustration is allowed -as long as the message itself remains intact (pure).
