A couple 2 or 3 weeks ago I did a blog on something quite amazing that happened to me at our local bookstore. It involved a missing movie out of it James-Bond-movie-boxset.

Well, here I am sitting on the couch in the living room, Daisy by my side in front of the air conditioner…

Beforehand comes just a little bit of background on the previous blog. I put a couple of Box sets of James bond on hold at our local bookstore. When I went back the next day to pay for them one of the movies had been switched for a new version starring Pierce Brosnan – That movie was not in the box-set the day before, nor was it part of the earlier series these two sets comprised (obviously). Long story short Commonwealth there at the bookstore or and not to be detoured, I decided to go back to the DVD section and look for the missing movie with no idea which one it was. By some miracle I was able to find it on the shelf -“Diamods Are Forever”. Some days later, or before…. I was at a pawnshop looking at some of the movies and found of all things “For Your Eyes Only (also mentioned in the blog). So I was able to replace a couple of duplicates from the Box set that came with it. OK, so now that we’re up to speed…

I’m sitting here on the couch with Daisy looking around, I’m a looking up at my bookcase across the room… Working my way down to the blue rays and DVD’s on the bottom shell… And what do I see there? I see a picture of Roger Moore on the spine of one of the movies is the movies on the shelf – with some closer inspection what do you suppose the movie turned out to be -“The Spy Who Loved Me”. Now I may be imagining things, or be guilty of a mind that is playing tricks on me but… When I was looking for that missing movie in the box-set the day I purchased them, the one movie that came to mind I was hoping for was “For Your Eyes Only” – And I kinda wanna say the other one was “The Spy Who Loved Me”, because I really love the song in it done by Carly Simon! Now I can’t says for certain, but…. Either way I found one more movie to go along with that Box set, a Roger Moore 007! When I 1st saw it on the shelf I ran to the bedroom to check the other 2 sets to see if there was already one in there and guess what -NOOOOOO!!!! So right now I’m gonna pull that DVD out of the bookshelf and replace replace the 2nd copy of her majesty’s secret service with it -Yippeee!!!!! 🙆‍♂️🥳🤠 Thank You Lord -once again! 🙏

Why not be exact instead of guessing or being essentially… It’s a good exercise for your mind. If it’s 2:42 p.m. why not says 2:42 p.m.? If you are adding or subtracting or counting change…. Why not do it down to the penny -usually it’s not much extra effort once you get the hang of it! It’s an exercise not only an accuracy -but in truth.

People who can’t say no or -can’t stop asking. I’ve had that issue. There are far too many men out their who cannot say “no” to a woman. It’s something of a cliche’ or double-standard… If a woman says yes (too quickly) -she’s loose 🤷‍♀️. If a man says no -he’s gay 🤷‍♂️.

Sidenote: Bodybuilding:

•If you can master the body you can master anything (probably).*

•Body building is perhaps one of the few things where you actually want to work harder, not easier -intentionally.

•When I was about 9 or 10 years old my cousin Tony told me this, “If you can master the hardest thing about something (if you can conquer the thing you hate or struggle with most), you’ve got it licked”.**

**I always stop body builders treated their bodies like a temple unthe contempt until I saw one smoking a cigar and a joint after he won the tournament.

I used to wonder calm but like many how God could allow sucould allow such brutality in nature. Watching animals being eaten alive on YouTube… Then the answer in part came -Shock is just one of God’s ways of showing mercy to His creatures.

I was watching a YouTube video one day as people on Safari filming and observing a kill in Africa with tourists I suppose… From the voices on the video some were watching with amazement while others were watching with amusement. And for a moment I picture these people being amused in a similar situation -and how quickly their demeanor would likely change. When a person finds amusement in watching nature at its most brutal… 👌

Yes!!!!! And the lessons just keep on a comin’! I notice that Daisy looks to me for continued reassurance. I’d say that would be of equal importance to her human counterpart -wouldn’t you?* 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

But how many of us are really concerned with such things In today’s fast paced, “me-first” way of life in modern-day-America?

*I think we can all see the condition of our world without it! Also, Americans are becoming increasingly mistrusting of one another, and money rather than family and community seem to be taking center-stage. JUST WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE TRYING TO TURN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA INTO??? ANY GROUP, LARGE OR SMALL LACKING IN TRUST, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY COHESIVENESS, AND VALUES… IS WHAT???? YOU TELL ME!!!!

You have to be strong for the people you love in multiple regards. In is many many areas is possible. One of the worst possible feelings in the world for a man -or for any parent- is to feel powerless in a situation. Probably the worst feeling in the world is knowing that had you been better prepared…

If you have any innocence to you whatsoever… I remember when I 1st started cheating in my relationship after I found her and her ex husband in our bedroom apartment together. I was fueled by deep resentment and hurt. Typically, these 2 things can keep a person going for a very long time -While inside you slowly deteriorate/rot. I got pretty good at looking at her in the eye and lying straight up. What that whole ordeal did to me for 7 and a 1/2 years.. I never want to forget and I never want to repeat! Which is part of the reason I’ve been sitting home for the last 4 and a 1/2 plus years -licking my wounds.

UNREQUITED LOVE

•One of the things I absolutely adore about Daisy is that I seem to be on her radar about 50% of the time! When I’m in a relationship with a woman that’s very similar for me as well on my end. Sadly, in the vast majority of cases it wasn’t reciprocated.*

*A lot of people push people away -and a lot of people don’t push people away that they should. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️ I suppose that’s the whole definition of dysfunctional -doing something when you shouldn’t, and not doing it when you should.

**I never really cried in front of Ana -sometimes this is the best thing to do and sometimes it isn’t. But I guess what matters is whether it’s best for you (and let the chips fall where they may).

***Some people think kindness is weakness -Which would explain why (I suppose) we have more strong people than weak people running around out there in the 🌎 right? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

Should you keep your mouth shut when to do otherwise may result in the relationship ending? Whaaaale…. 🤔 The short answer to that is… Some people hold their tongues in relationships that have no business being. Some people run their mouths (far too often), resulting in a relationship ending -that was clearly meant to be (a woman knows these sorts of things 🤷‍♀️).

I’m just now beginning to see how decades of hurt and betrayal have translates into adversity -my own inability even it what might be characterized as approaching an ideal situation, to understand the concept of family. While it is true that every family has its own troubles -past a certain point (and depending on the point in one’s own development) those troubles can lead to not just alienation, but a lost sense of/for family altogether. The time I have spent with out little dog “Daisy”, who simply does everything she’s supposed to both naturally and perfectly, with any of the ignorance or arrogance or hang-ups so many of the human-beings I have encountered so much of my life has -afforded me (brought me back from) a real sense of family, of belonging, of trusting, of being wanted and needed, of having the freedom to give and do for -uninhibited!* @ 57 years old -What a 🎁! Thank You Lord! 🙏

*People have been seen for years “get a pet”. As a young boy I learned for years to have a little dog. The management never seemed to go along with it. But something inside of me was telling me that a little dog… The fact that they don’t seem to have an agenda… It’s one of the things that makes me realize where so many of my relationships have gone wrong -Other people’s agenda, as well as my own!** 😔

**Somewhere in there -I get the feeling there’s a lesson for all of us!

Like any Parent looking to adopt you probably look for the healthiest most beautiful baby Of the bunch. That was likely the case with my grandparents when they picked up my mother. Little did they know that my mother had a secret. A secret dating back to her own mother. A secret involving alcoholism and promiscuity. One she would herself would come to mimic later in her own life. It’s funny how even with the best of intentions things often can turn tragic. A little while ago while doing my reading, I was thinking about Hawaii how life might have been for my grandparents had they chosen someone else. A loving daughter who grew up to be healthy in every sense, live a good fruitful life for life and have a joyful relationship – the one my grandparents yearned for.

Is it true that the typical American citizen has an English-speaking vocabulary of between 3-7000 words?

Sometimes the perfect solution or the right solution is the one you would never think of it all 🤷‍♂️

I noticed where my aunt and Uncle live on the better side of town the neighbors mind their own business. I notice the part of town where I live in people are always watching. I guess the reason you get a good job is not just to live in a nice house towels or to live in a nice area of town but to live among a better class of people. For the longest time I used to think it didn’t matter where you live but who you are. I’m not so sure about that anymore.

From what I’ve read, the Apostles, even with Jesus in their midst… even after witnessing miracle after miracle… continued to struggle with:

1.Faith

2.The parameters of Jesus power (abilities)

3.His precise mindset, vision…

4.Their own Faith was even more shaken, or tested, when Jesus was not with them (on the sea of Galilee -twice, both scenarios demonstrated)

So, as far as we ourselves are concerned (and many of us are indeed concerned) 😟… Couple thoughts:

1.Do you think less of Jesus now that He is no longer on the earth? More to the point, do you believe Him to be any less effective, or caring now that His physical body is not longer with us?

2.When He was actually on the planet physically; in close proximity to so many in need, so many ill… 🤔 My thought is this on “If so many of these people were left uncured…?”*🤷‍♂️

•How do we know hundreds, thousands were not cured (don’t believe everything you read in history books [there’s a blog all-unto-itself], and don’t disbelieve anything that isn’t 😄).

•Faith (2 reasons a miracle did not take place among the masses in Israel at that time: Lack of Faith; Gods’ plan included some to be cured while others not to be cured -remember, “A 🌎 full of sin requires a 🌎 full of expiation”. “If there were better way, a more effective way to expiate the sins of mankind than suffering, Jesus would have chosen it”.

*I have been getting more and more nervous with where this post is going -as I am unsure I can supply a satisfactory answer. Initially, I had more questions (1 lol), than answers (0 😒). But a few minutes ago “Voila -there it’wer” 🤷‍♂️
