You might be surprised at how many are unfamiliar with “the basics”. You might do just as well sticking to the basics (as an example), as much as anything else. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

I have the advantage (or disadvantage lol) of knowing addiction from both sides:

11 1/2 years drinking and drugging

31 2/3 years drug/alcohol free*

*I think in many cases the ratio of years drinking and drugging to years drug and alcohol free is very pertinent to:

•Our current state

•The length of time recovering

THE PERSON WHO DIES NEEDING “THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TOYS” WINS!

It wasn’t enough for “alcohol” to beat me into submission, “Life sober” had to beat me into submission!

It took a very long time to learn to think more of pthers, and less of myself! Especially when:

•selfishness is the only thing you’ve ever known;

•you feel justified

•you enjoy it

as long as we continue to be filled with fear, self-delusion, self-seeking, self-pity… we will continue to behave in accordance with these principles.

I don’t care how unselfish you, or I become, WE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO HAVE ISSUES WITH SOME PEOPLE!

NOT EVERYONE IN AA IS STILL ALL SCREWED UP!

Gratitude is a necessity -not a luxury.

For many people, the truth is very hard to swallow

A lot of these kids in school that get passed up, or flunked – they grow bigger, stronger than the other kids, and become angry or resentful of the system and then take it out on your kids around them.. I had one such incident take place………………………..

I could never make a very good attorney -some of my best arguments would come long after the trial was done and over! 🤷‍♂️

People who by their very actions by their very example -give us permission to be ourselves too -Well, people like that are very easy to fall in love with!

The truth is all over the place. What I mean to say is that it is no respector of men. Any man who provides by the truth truth could be construed as somewhat touched in the head for having no particular earthly affiliation -or allegance

What is the most powerful organ in the universe -the human-brain; without perspective? It’s like going to a shooting range and trying to estimate distance with one eye closed.

Are the politicians and other high profile citizens who are under scrutiny any different from most of us?

People are afraid to mention God’s name because they are afraid to offend someone. That’s like saying I don’t wanna refrain from cussing because I’m afraid to offend someone🤷‍♂️

That’s ridiculous, this country was founded on Christian principles and The Bible and now we’re going to hush hush hush about it because we don’t want to offend people of other faiths? Somebody’s been listening to the devil-in-disguise too long! Who dreams up this garbage? We’re going to give up our roots to satisfy other people? You believe in your God and I believe in mine! And I happen to believe in the same God that the people who founded this country believed in! 🙏 OR DIDN’T YOU GET THE MEMO ABOUT SATAN POSING AS COMPASSIONATE AND CARING WHILE TRYING TO SHUT GOD OUT????

More and more people these days seem to be having trouble believing in anything beyond what they can see, smell, touch, see, and screw… And the one’s that do believe beyond… it has to fit neatly into their own… Whatever happened to true open-mindeness, faith, belief without proof (even if that proof happens to be everywhere)…???? That’s the thing about God the defies definition according to everything else -HE IS EVERYWHERE!!!! UNDEFINEABLE -JUST AS ONE MIGHT EXPECT WITH REGARD TO SOMETHING WHOSE DESCRIPTION BEGINS WITH “OMNI”!!!!

What the hell is going on with this country? People using words like “screwed” on national TV. Profanity that was only allowed on “rated R/X movies” now coming out on national TV? WHAT IN THE HELL….????

Is the term “nigger”* any more defamatory than the word “chink” or the word “cracker” or the word “wapp” or the word “redskin” or the word “spic”? Because I would like to know how it came to be that “one particular word out of all those mentioned above, suddenly “became the talk of the nation”! Can you explain that to me? Why did Black rights become such a topic of grave importance over, Hispanic, Chinese, Indian, Gay, Women’s rights (domestic violence, child-support), bullying of our children, manslaughter victims of DUI…? Why have so many different peoples rights come intermittently or dispersively or skewed or jagged…? That is, if WE are supposedly so concerned about the rights of others (in general)?**

*Is it less defamatory when a Black calls another Black man a “nigger”?

**None of this should have anything to do with public opinion, votes, agendas, vendettas…!!!!

Sidenote: When they were dragging all these people into court who held high positions in society, for using the N word 20 years ago… and then hanging them out to dry.. Using them as examples regarding this country taking seriously…. Did it ever occur to anybody that maybe these people were sorry for the way they behaved 20 years ago – that their attitudes had perhaps changed? It seems to me that there are a lot more agendas flying around in all of this -and far too few well-meaning individuals. Ignorant to say the least anyways. Hell some of the Black folk* who were victimized showed more compassion and forgiveness than the White folk who were out head-hunting (as I recall).

*Some of the gentlest, most respectful, most sincere, humble people I’ve ever met were Black.**

**I’ve seen black men taking orders from white men show more humility*** than white women taking orders from white (or black) men in this country!

***Where does their humility come from -God fearing, disciplinarian up-bringing…?

MINORITY REPORT

Afterthought: They always ask people who claim they’re not racist “Do you have any friends who are minorities?”

A man once remarked: “He’ll I ain’t prejudice -I hate everybody!”

It’s my understanding that a considerable number of actors are below average height – Is there a correlation between extreme success Is there a correlation between above average success and below average height?

In my particular case, I was very confused as a child with regard to the environment, the environments I was exposed too. From about 7 years on through my 10 years, just, I had to learn to develop skills in in both dysfunctional and functional environments. I could not do it consistently or significantly or successfully. My grandmother versus my father, My mother versus the Hurds vs the Tomes (0-7). If you really want to do damage to a child in their formative years -keep them confused!

If you really want to screw over your enemies, Tacoma raise them as children and be the most dysfunctional parent you can possibly be.

I found it interesting that in 9th grade I went away to New Mexico for a year of schooling calm a living with my aunt and my uncle. I grew up a lot during that year I was away-worked out, played football, joined the wrestling team… drank… hung our with my cousin Tony, went out on my first date, even did some speed. When I returned to Van nuys to live with my grandmother, she thought it was gonna be the same routine -harsh discipline with a belt or whatever she could get her hands on. I put a stop to that -took the belt away. She threw me out! My point is this -had I remained living with her, I may not have transition as I did.
