SPOILED-SPORT

I’m a huge fan of my professional sports teams. But I’ve never been very good about watching them lose.

As a child, playing various games, I recall losing on almost every occasion. And I would get angry! Feel like a loser! Feel like God was against me!

II notice winning is like a drug to me. It helps me to adjust my downward emotional Statis emotional States. I learned this a very long time ago-that that for me, watch watching my team win is a high whereas watching them lose is a loyet the maloose is a low. One represents the sensation of the drink while the other represents the hangover. 1 represents the high, while the other represents the other represents the withdraw.

I hate it when the doctor or the counselor or the psychologist asks you what they can do for you -when they presumably rid your chart art or form you filled out.

After a couple of years sober, I started working with the gentleman and I’ll call it anonymous on 12 step work. 1st question he asked me was if I believed in God.I told him I’m not sure, but I believe in the power of good.

Alcoholics and drug addicts have no problem trusting in drug dealers and and liquor stores… that we give our money to… We trust that what we pay for is going to work. We even trusted very seedy individuals who sold us drugs illegally. But when it comes to the goddamn, all of a sudden we are so concerned about validity. We are so concerned about putting our lives in His care! I mean could we do any worse?

UFOLOGY

IIs it possible that tens of thousands of Americans could be lying about the UFO sightings? Well if they were all working for someone -absolutely! I mean 5000 people were working together and one of the largest bank scams in history -simultaneously 🤷‍♂️ Why couldn’t tens of thousands over an 80 year period do so?*

*Watching the movie “Communion” with Christopher Walken and Lindsay Crouse.

FAIR-THEE-WELL

If every creature on Earth were the same size as man and all they and we had to contend with one another was our bodies and our bodies and our instincts and our minds…. Nothing else… Man would not fare very well with many creatures.

Sidenote: 🤔 If you had your choice, would you rather live in a million dollar house and send rarely get to see your family due to the hours yeah hours necessary at work to cover the payments -or would you rather live in a $150000 house and get to see your family and get to know them and watch your children grow?

MANHUNTER

When man stopped hunting rabbits and deer he started hunting one another.

Once we conquered nature -which was probably a testiment to man, created in the likeness of God, and his constitution, and his abilities -but more and more, of course with exception of those left out of the loop -this country is starting to look alot like the Is proverbial “lion in a zoo”. The people at the top don’t seem to have much depth! Fortitude! I mean, for God sakes, have you seen the quality of the programs on TV lately?

Creating a dumber society (a notable increasingly dysfunctional society) has major drawbacks for all -and a few advantages to a few. And some people think to avoid the backlash while enjoying the advantages -SICK SICK SICK

I know this woman who has all of this material stuff, and when I looked at her I wonder how she would survive without them. 🤔 There are people out there that seem to need these fancy things -and they need to let you know they have them.

Everything serves a good and a bad purpose -so it seems. Snow being white (what if it were black) has it’s good and bad. Water having the property of viscosity (what if it didn’t) has it’s good and bad. I’m thinking 🤔 That the way God-made it does it’s ultimate good.

“An organism with a wallet” as I once heard it put.

And then we’re constantly being bombarded by commercials to buy, to spend…

THE SECRET

People lie all the time -I mean (within a society. I’ve done my fair share throughout my life. The key to honesty is never do anything you feel the need to hide. Act as if the whole world is watching at all times -someday it may very well be

Why are we not ashamed of what we do in God’s presence – but are in the presence of our fellow human beings? You would do better to care more about what God thinks than what others think! For one thing, people aren’t always around -but God is. So the old “is anybody watching…” Isn’t the best safety precaution against wrong or immoral actions.

a) God is watching at all times so act as such

b) God is and should be the one who’s view of us we should take into consideration above all others.

THIS LIFE (AS OPPOSED TO “THAT’S LIFE”)

I’m not sure this post is quite ready to come out of the oven yet. 🤔

I hoped 🙏 for so many things that never were to be.

I held on to so many things (hurts, painful memories, resentments…) -they took center-stage even when times were good.

I placed importance on things above people (material things, ideation of my own…) and in the end I had those things and ended up with no one to share them 💔 with.

The summation of my life is that I did it my way -and lost; left myself wanting.

What I’ve learned from it all:

1.Live life right and accept and appreciate what comes

2.To the best of your ability, don’t let others knock you off your game

3.Embrace both the happiness and sorrow life has you with equal zeal (when we run towards one, and away from the other, that’s when we run into trouble

4.Accept people where they’re at, and try to make a difference for the better

5.God’s not the problem; He’s not our enemy either; HE DESERVES ALL THE LOVE AND GRATITUDE AND SUPPORT WE CAN GIVE HIM

6.Never forget where you come from

7.Nobody’s perfect -not even you. And no matter how good people look on the outside, they’ve got issues just like the rest of us

8.Take responsibility for your part alone -no matter how hard others try to put their stuff on you

9.Keep your head up -and your chin down

10.Don’t try and do it on your own

11.You can be your own best friend -or your own worst enemy*

12.Trust in God; Clean house; Think of others**

13.Really show a vested interest in (getting to know) the people you are surround by

*A best friend today can be your own worst enemy tomorrow

** A very wise man once told me these 3 things:

1.Forgive yourself

2.Don’t have expectations of other

3.Look for what you can contribute to life -not what you can take away from it

Lastly, from the movie “Old Yeller” a paraphrase:

“Sometimes life gets so tough it’ll knock a man clean into the dirt. But it aint all bad son – In fact some of it’s pretty good. But if we spend all our time thinking about what’s bad, then it’s all bad.”***

I’ve spent the vast majority of my 31 and 2/3 years of sobriety focusing on what was wrong with my life -what was missing! I DON’T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY -FRIEND OR FOE 😔

CALLING PLANET EARTH

The USPS gives horrible service! The worst thing is a company that gets money GIVEN TO THEM regularly to Stat afloat! They don’t have to get anything right -and they’ll still be in business tomorrow! IT’S BS.

And what about employees of the government who get a blank check every month-people who cannot even manage their own financial affairs!

Oh and one last thing -Charging the American people money to make copies when it’s our tax dollars that bought the paper and the machines that are in those buildings? WHAT PLANET AM I LIVING ON HERE🤔
