I think at times JESUS was very strict or exaggerated in HIS teachings because HE knew that in certain instances, any opening would be exploited, viewed as loop-holes.

During the process of learning, exaggeration can be a very useful tool.

Some people believe they are saving up money when in reality they are paying off a debt; While others believe they are paying off a debt when in reality saving up money. The difference is an attitude of arrogance or false… versus an attitude of humility.
