How many times have both you and I heard “you can’t change the world”. And how many people with money and power and whatever else they have in their arsenal believe they are exempt from this. The strong lording over the weak. The United States seems to be one case. How many times have I tried to change people with the best of intentions? The Ukraine war is an example of a country torn 1/2.It’s like a woman who can’t decide if she wants to leave her abuse of husband or not. More emphasis on the indecision rather than the abuse of husband part. I have no idea what the real relationship between Russia and Ukraine is but I know the country itself is split. And in matters like this, once you’ve tried to intervene and it hasn’t worked, you have to leave them to work it out between themselves.

If I had known then at the beginning of my sobriety that a relationship… That the odds would either be 0 or 1 in 1 billion as far as meeting the right woman for me. The woman meant to be for me. Some people believe you have to learn by going and trying and failing. I don’t think God subscribes to this philosophy when when finding the person HE intended for you.. God doesn’t plan things out so we hurt other people on our way to where HE intended us to be.
