I remember when I first learned to drive (I had just gotten back from NM ’79’), it was like writing one of the rides at the amusement park. Patsy was showing me how to drive stick in her fiat. When I went to go take my driving test, I did so in dad’s Granada -he was so proud of that car! A ’76’ I believe it was.

When I was younger, everything had to be perfect in (in my own mind anyways) order for me to be right mentally and emotionally. These days life seems anything but. All I know to do is keep moving forward with these writings for as long as I can go.

Sidenote: When I came in to Alcoholics Anonymous I was so convinced that alcohol and drugs were the problems not me… after all, isn’t that the mountain idea -complete the attacomplete the test from reality? By being as perfect as I could possibly be; I was gonna prove to everyone that it was the booze and the drugs and not me that was at fault. It’s a dangerous game, this game of perfection in recovery… “That which doesn’t bend breaks!”

When I came in to Alcoholics Anonymous they told me I was the problem… I thought, “I’d been hearin’ that all my life!” But the difference was that in Alcoholics Anonymous they were saying so out of love, not ego, or hatred, or fear!

One of the things I love about alcohol tynamis is that it talks about how each individual is responsible for their own recovery and their own mistakes. That’s not what I heard out in the real world -what I heard was a whole lot of blame! And a whole lot of criticism! The other thing was that you can’t be thrown out of Alcoholics Anonymous. I only know of 2 places in the whole wide world you can’t be thrown out of:

1.Prison

2. AA 😁

I’ve been concerned about recalling so many of these writings -many of which have been written numerous times and then misplaced. But, God knew the time was right to proceed with this website and -He has kept up His end with no shortage of material pouring forth steadily these past 34 days. Again, Thank You Kindly Lord! Amen 🙏

If Jesus couldn’t succeed and He did everything right -then what are we who are flawed to expect? That’s the thing about man -he doesn’t care about what’s right, he cares about what “suits” him.*

*I knew there was something I had forgotten this morning on the walk with Daisy. So, like I normally do, I asked God to remind me please. It took about 10 hours -but as usual He came through! Thank You Lord 🙏

Like any other war the war against evil will have casualties. The problem is nobody wants to die or suffer! If Americans had that attitude in World War II….. The war would have probably been lost! Just like the war against evil is being lost right now. If we stand up against the evil in the world… sure, the attention will be placed on those standing up to it -but there is no other way! But don’t think your sacrifice is in vain. Anyone who stands against evil has got God on their side. Anyone who stands against evil weakens it! Just as anyone who doesn’t stand against it strengthens it!

A God of our own understanding. Like anything else this can be taken out of context even misused. It doesn’t say a God of our own liking, preference, interest or persuasion… I’m not sure where the modern day idea of a God of our own -separate from everyone else’s started out or came from -I hope it wasn’t from this. The idea of a God of our own understanding was not to bring separation among the masses but to bring more people to God. Eventually growing to know God as God is rather than what we would have him be. Like any person you meet for the 1st time you have some preconceived notions which later get replaced by facts through experience. At this point in my life I have not chosen a God of my own understanding but you understand God as God is -as much as I am capable with the time I have left on Earth. The people who started in Alcoholics Anonymous were Christians -the people who started coming later on were either christians who had problems with their faith or non christians (it was a mixture). But let’s be very clear about something… The people in the rooms judging people who are Christians who talk about a Christian God, or Jesus… they didn’t come first they came later. Some people try and act like it’s the other way around.

As far as christians being persecuted in the future… What has to happen is a whole lot of people of faith, or their children… have to start dropping off so that the christians then become outnumbered by the non christians, heathens, atheist, agnostics, people who have their own God like back thousands of years ago (ah yes, history repeats itself once again).

Some people are more active physically. Some people more so mentally. Still others, emotionally or spiritually.

Next time a representative from a company you do business with gives you attitude… tell them this:

• Last time I checked I pay the bills -including your check!

• If a company could figure out how to do business without paying you they would -and if they could figure out how to get more of me they would!

Who came up with the brilliant idea of divvying up our 🌍

And what’s with all this land that none of us are privy to as American citizens born on the soil? They have some kind of an arrangement with the native Americans Americans whereby they are entitled to certain lands… And the rest of us are what? I’m an American citizen and I was born on this continent and I’m not entitled to anything? How convenient for a capitalism society -where you pay as you go! I want to know how it came about that people who were born on this native soil, who are American citizens, have no rights to any of this land unless we pay for it?

We took it from the Native American so if the Chinese take it from us… They say have the country zoned by the Chinese at this point. But good luck trying to take over! Try that and watch our military going to action!

You know it was a good thing when the whole world was at odds with each other because it was kind of like an ecosystem which kept everything in check. Unification of this world is the worst thing that could happen to at! That’s all we need is one (more) King! *

Did you know we have kings in the United States! Sure we do! There’s the king of Amazon! There’s the king of Walmart! There’s the king of the United States! There’s those kings we’ve never even heard of because they’re underground….

The pie is so big that we don’t realize that the more one person takes the less there is for the other. But if you’re at a picnic with 4 other people, and one person steps in and takes 3/4 of the pie -then you put them in their place right? Well why don’t we do that with a bigger pie!

Why can’t we go back and lower prices to the sixties or seventies and start over? Anything that’s man-made can be undone by man! Redone! Done over! Replicated…

Everywhere you go in the city practically you have to put up your money or you’ll be asked to leave-you’re considered a literary. We claim (pay for) our little chunk of territory everywhere we go -and then we expect a payment (reimbursement).

If you go out into the world there’s nothing worth any money out there – Nothing that doesn’t have a cage, building, with a lock around it! Man has clamped down on everything! Seized it for himself!

I’ll tell you another thing that dawned on me, money is everywhere -and yet it’s unreachable, untouchable!

Not all human beings are predators, but most of us, men, women, children too -tend to be seekers, if not hunters!

The dynamic in many a relationship, one tends to be dominant, the other submissive. One assertive, the other passive. One, particular, the other accepting. There is usually one person in a relationship willing to take up the slack (flack)! How else can a relationship remain in tact?

Personally, I prefer not to lead or to follow! As the old saying goes, “Don’t walk behind me I may not lead. Don’t walk ahead of me I may not follow. Walk beside me and be my friend.”*

I find, the less you have of something (or someone) -the less inclined you are to take it/them for granted (or take advantage -does that make sense?). “Absents makes the 💝 grow fonder”.

On a personal level, I have found that the “less” chaotic, busy, even fun my life is, the more inclined I am towards thinking of 🤔, and being available for others.
